Gargi College admits students who have cleared twelfth or an equivalent examination, one year earlier only. An application quoting valid reason/s for the gap year and supporting document/s should be available at the time of admission.

An applicant should attain 17 years of age as on the 1st of October in the year of admission. One year of underage only, may be condoned by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Delhi, for which the application has to be made through the college.

> Is it compulsory to have cleared Hindi in the Class VIII?

It is compulsory to have cleared Hindi in Class VIII. Otherwise, a qualifying examination will have to be taken along with the 1st year examination.

> I have not applied for admission to Gargi College in the pre-admission form. But I qualify in the cut-off list on the basis of my percentage of marks. Am I eligible for admission this year?

Gargi College insists on the submission of pre-admission application forms of Delhi University on or before the official last date of application i.e. the 16th June’08. The college code should have been entered in the pre-admission form. Gargi College does not have its own pre-admission form.

> Is there a separate form for Sports and ECA admissions?

No, there is no separate form. Applicants should come to the college with the relevant documents in original on the dates specified in the Admissions section of this website / the College Notice board / the Prospectus.
