About the Department

Department of Botany was established in 1967 

Main focus of department:

  • Teaching- objective is to complement the conventional branches of plant sciences with modern biology.
  • Research- at students’ and faculty level
  • Holistic Development- Environment awareness programs e.g. workshops, plantation drives, co-curricular activities
