Samranjini is the Indian Music Society of Gargi College. This society is a melting pot of enthusiastic, talented and aficionado singers who share a common passion for the mesmerizing melodies and rhythmic beats that define Indian music. Society aims to promote, preserve, and propagate this ancient art form, creating a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. Samranjini firmly believes in the power of music to express all things material and sublime. For music is the ornament that adds color and meaning to our lives.

The activities and practices done by the society are firmly rooted in the traditions of Hindustani and Carnatic music, the two pillars of Indian classical music. Samranjini, strive to uphold the values of discipline, perseverance, and humility by nurturing a space imbibed with respect, dignity, and dedication. These values constitute their core principles as musicians and human beings.

Vision

Our cardinal aspiration is to preserve and maintain the sanctity of tradition and legacy while also celebrating the musical evolutions of modern times. We’re known for authentic compositions, tireless efforts and for being more than eager to perform at regular college events. Samranjini has been blessed with an amazing legacy bestowed upon it by brilliant vocalists and through the support of our amazing teacher convenors, and mentors.

Society Activities

Samranjini actively participated in numerous in-house as well as inter-college events during the academic year 2025–26, contributing to the vibrant cultural life of Gargi College and representing the institution across prestigious platforms.

On 20th August, Samranjini actively participated in the college’s Orientation Day, introducing first-year students to the society’s vision, activities, and achievements through an engaging presentation and musical interaction. Additionally, the society performed Saraswati Vandana at various college conferences, seminars, and inaugural ceremonies during the lamp-lighting rituals.

On 3rd September, Samranjini presented a captivating retro musical performance during the Teacher’s Day Celebration organized by the Student Council, adding to the festive spirit of the occasion.

On 1st October, Samranjini delivered a soulful performance at the Zistatva Date Reveal, contributing to the excitement surrounding the announcement of the college festival.

On 11th November, members of Samranjini showcased their musical talent through a special performance at TEDxKMC, representing Gargi College on a distinguished inter-college platform.

On 7th February, Samranjini performed at the Reverie Date and Artist Reveal, building enthusiasm for the college’s annual cultural festival through an engaging musical presentation.

As part of Reverie, Gargi College’s annual cultural festival, Samranjini successfully organized Malhaari, its flagship music event, which celebrated exceptional musical talent from colleges across Delhi. Under the banner of Malhaari, the society conducted Reverie Idol, a Semi-classical solo singing competition, and Sangam, an Indian classical choir competition, both of which witnessed enthusiastic participation and remarkable performances.
