Mission
Our mission is to unleash the power of storytelling through the magic of filmmaking. From delightful short films to thought-provoking documentaries, we are determined to explore it all. With unwavering dedication, we strive to master our craft and become the filmmakers that little girls can idolize and connect with because growing up we did not have a lot of women to look up to in this male-dominated industry. Our goal is to empower women through our cinematic creations. Here, passionate individuals unite to collaborate and celebrate the art of filmmaking. Moreover, we cherish vigorous discussions and a deep appreciation of cinema. Not only does this allow us to delve deeper into the works of visionary artists who came before us, but it also fuels our creative process by igniting inspiration to create more captivating stories. Filmmaking and film appreciation is a beautiful process which teaches one patience, perseverance and discipline. It shows one a whole new and exciting world and we invite you to join us in our exciting journey.
Society Activities
The society is primarily focused on enabling students to get access to and explore the world of cinema, filmmaking, and story-telling. Our collective areas of expertise include cinematography, acting, producing, designing, editing, scriptwriting, and social media management. We produce short films each month that explore abstract mediums, feature a variety of genres, and address social issues in an effort to not only learn but also gain experience as a young and developing creative unit. We participate in competitions during the festival season at Delhi University as well as host them twice annually. We also pay close attention to mastering the monotonous, which inspires us to regularly pursue creative projects and attend departmental workshops held by mentors that help us gain technical knowledge. To expand our style and broaden our lens, we also work on collaborative projects with fellow filmmaking societies in an attempt to send our films to film festivals. We have worked on films based on friendships, love, prejudice, rage, greed, and gluttony and experimented with a variety of genres and styles like horror, sci-fi, mystery, documentary, music video, and reels. With each production, we strive to learn more about the craft of filmmaking and explore what we can do with the camera in front of or behind us all while building a close-knit community of cinema aficionados.
