Divergent students and their array of talents find wings at SPARX, the Choreography Society of Gargi College, a contemporary all-girls dance team that is best known for its finesse portrayed through the values of discipline, perseverance and team spirit which the team members strive to uphold.

Sparx is unique in its grandeur and what sets it apart is its diversity and acceptance. The team consists of handpicked dancers with various levels of skill sets ranging from professionally trained to untrained, and together, undergo rigorous training focusing on fundamentals and basics of Jazz, Contemporary and Ballet focusing on flexibility, foundation techniques and core strength. with some of the finest choreographers in the country

We express ourselves through movement and believe in unleashing our inner passion, voicing our opinions, and creating a vision like no one else. Sparx strives to uphold ideals of empathy, camaraderie, equality, and democracy and does its best to stand by its motto of dedication, confidence, sincerity, loyalty and unity.

We try to spread awareness regarding social issues, ideas and pressing matters that need to be spoken about, and to achieve this dance is used as a way to express and voice these stories, and to reach out to the world through art.

For the past few years, Sparx has had legendary productions such as ‘The Portal’, ‘Undaunted, ‘Malediction’, ‘Rise of the Phoenix’ and ‘Carousel’ which have helped us spread the word and our vision further whilst also helping us win many laurels for the college.

Each year, we aim to curate a thematic dance performance based on prevalent social issues, utopian ideas, and sagas of unsung heroes, as the annual production, which has placed us amongst the top choreography societies in the DU circuit.

We take it as our mission to encourage students to join us in our journey of dance whilst continuously growing in aspects like empathy, discipline and sportsmanship. The rigorous training to make the production increases physical strength and also one's mind. 

It is with much pride we also say that each win by our society is not only ours but also our college's.

Society actively engages in showcasing its annual production in a multitude of prestigious events that span across Delhi and extend to various outstation destinations. These events are held in venues of renowned educational institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) in Delhi and Bombay, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Delhi, National Institutes of Technology (NIT), Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, and numerous colleges under the University of Delhi.

The society further enriches the cultural tapestry of the college by performing on a multitude of significant events. These occasions include but are not limited to, the Orientation program, Teacher's Day celebrations, Freshers, the Annual Day festivities, farewell ceremonies, and the exuberant cultural fiesta of Zistatva, among several others.
