By bridging the gap between purpose and action, we aspire to contribute meaningfully to a more inclusive, empowered, and sustainable future for all.

At Enactus Gargi, our mission is to leverage the power of social entrepreneurship to create sustainable impact in underserved communities. Through student-led initiatives, we aim to identify pressing social, economic, and environmental challenges and address them with innovative, scalable, and community-driven solutions. By fostering a culture of leadership, collaboration, and empathy, we strive to equip students with real-world experience in responsible entrepreneurship while making a measurable difference on the ground.
Society Activities
Project Rachna
Established in 2014, Project Rachna by Enactus Gargi empowers underprivileged and specially-abled women by training them in various domains, enabling them to transform post-consumer textile waste into marketable products. The project is driven by the belief that sustainability is not just about reducing waste, but about creating opportunities, preserving traditional craftsmanship, and building livelihoods with dignity. Over the years, Rachna has grown beyond campus through exhibitions, college festivals, corporate stalls, and interactive workshops, engaging communities in conversations around sustainable living and responsible consumption. Today, our impact extends to empowering 300 marginalized and differently-abled artisans while upcycling over 400 kg of textile waste, advancing progress toward SDGs 5, 8, 10, and 12. Beyond our direct beneficiaries, the project has indirectly impacted more than 60,000 individuals, including over 20,000 women and children, by fostering sustainable livelihoods, promoting social inclusion, and encouraging responsible consumption. Looking ahead, we aim to expand our impact by introducing new upcycled product categories, conducting workshops and awareness drives in schools, colleges, and community spaces, and strengthening our presence through exhibitions and corporate collaborations. Our vision is to create a future where every piece of waste finds purpose, every artisan is empowered, and sustainability becomes a way of life.
Project Neev
Established in 2019, is a sustainability initiative weaving a tapestry of a greener tomorrow. Over the years, the project has deepened its commitment to reducing plastic waste through practical, eco-friendly alternatives while spreading environmental awareness through community-driven action. During the recent initiatives of the project, the team engaged with local NGOs, conducting sustainability awareness and best-out-of-waste craft sessions that touched hundreds of lives. On campus, Pottery workshops and a Plant and Paint workshop invited students to engage hands-on with sustainable craft, while plans for ecobrick end-use laid the groundwork for turning collected plastic waste into lasting, tangible solutions. Together, these initiatives created a wide circle of impact, drawing in beneficiaries from the local potters' community along the way. Project Neev continues to look ahead with the same spirit that has defined it from the start, in the coming tenure - through exploring sustainable, small-scale artisan-partnered producers to bring plantable, everyday items to life, deepening its plastic waste collection efforts, and widening its network of NGO and community collaborations, as it steadily moves toward a future where everyday waste is transformed into meaningful, community-powered change.
Project Vikas
Background: Project Aagah was established in 2018 with the vision of making quality education and opportunities more accessible to children from underserved communities through educational support and community engagement. In 2020, Project Vikas was launched during the COVID-19 lockdown to support individuals affected by the loss of jobs and internships by creating new opportunities and helping them navigate the evolving professional landscape. Over the years, both initiatives independently organised several impactful programmes, including Internship Week, the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, Project Aagah’s collaboration with Ishwar NGO, the Career Launcher Seminar, Resume Making Workshops, VIMET Sessions, and Annual Mental Health Picnics, followed seminars on various career options, each contributing to student development, employability, and community impact.
In 2025, Project Aagah and Project Vikas came together under a unified identity to strengthen their collective impact. Today, Project Vikas comprises three dedicated verticals: Aagah, focused on educational equity and community outreach; Aakruti, dedicated to career readiness and professional development; and MindKin, committed to promoting mental well-being and creating safe spaces for meaningful conversations.

Aagah: Following the merger under Project Vikas, Aagah continued its mission of promoting educational equity through impactful collaborations with community partners. During the recent initiatives, Aagah conducted offline workshops on topics like Personality Development, Digital Literacy, Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship Basics, in collaboration with SK Foundation, Make A Difference NGO and Ishwar NGO, reaching over 300 students from underserved communities. Each session engaged students, providing interactive, activity-based learning experiences that complemented formal education and prepared students with essential life and career skills. In the upcoming tenure, Aagah aims to adopt a mixed model of fellowships and workshops, introduce session kits, ECA-based activities and much more to make sessions more engaging, and strengthen career guidance support for school students!

Aakruti: Aakruti continued to equip students with practical, real-world skills, directly impacting over 330 students through a series of workshops conducted throughout the year. These included sessions on resume writing, as well as workshops on personal branding, consulting, career pathways in sustainability, and other professional development topics. To further extend career support, Aakruti launched "Next Step," a whatsApp community that grew to 440 members. The platform served as a hub for regularly sharing internship opportunities, curated career resources, quick reads, and professional guidance. Several other initiatives, including the Alumni Series, Startup Spotlight, Mental Health Mondays, Career Myths, and Internship Calendars were conceptualized and introduced to provide students with industry insights, career awareness, and continuous professional development opportunities. The upcoming tenure will present opportunities to foster entrepreneurial thinking and expand access to professional development resources for students from underserved communities.

Mindkin: Mindkin emerged as a distinguished, third pillar of Vikas, becoming an accessible platform to integrate mental health into our daily lives. For the same, a Mental Health Awareness Desk on campus was organized engaging 90 students through interactive activities promoting mindfulness and well-being. In collaboration with Belong, it also hosted an Inter-Enactus Chapters Mental Health Mixer, bringing together representatives from 13 DU colleges and 50–60 participants to foster meaningful conversations, connection, and emotional well-being. Moving forward, MindKin aims to host regular support group sessions and evolve into a one-stop platform for mental health support, awareness, resources, and community engagement.
Aarohanam 2026: Enactus Gargi’s Annual Celebration of Innovation & Impact
On March 16th, 2026, Enactus Gargi successfully hosted Aarohanam, a dynamic event featuring competitions, workshops, and discussions on sustainability and social impact. The event commenced with an enthralling panel discussion on "Impact that Teaches: Educating Social Entrepreneurs for a Global Sustainable Future," wherein our panelists engaged with the student community and spoke at length about meaningful business practices.
Edvance, an education based case study competition hosted by Project Vikas, saw participants bring together innovation, analysis, and creativity to solve real-world challenges before an esteemed panel of judges. Bizgrow, hosted by Project Neev and the R&D team, once again saw participants pitch eco-friendly business ideas to leaders in the field of sustainability. The Reinvent Race, hosted by Project Rachna and the Media team, challenged participants across three rounds of a product-centric competition where ideas evolved into impactful solutions. Hands-on workshops included The Potter's Wheel, Plant & Paint, and Echoes of Fabric, directly benefiting our communities. The event also featured a concept developed by the Research & Development Team - Project Kavach, focused on breast cancer awareness and post-surgery support for women. The idea was presented through a dedicated standee and exhibit, giving attendees an insight into the team's research and vision for addressing this critical social issue. The Enactus Fair welcomed Enactus chapters from across the city, and the Entrepreneurial Showcase provided a platform for Gargi College's student entrepreneurs. Aarohanam 2026 was a testament to Enactus Gargi's commitment to entrepreneurship, sustainability, and community impact.
