The Nivedita Lecture Series by IQAC, Gargi College, is an initiative dedicated to fostering awareness, dialogue, and education around health and well-being. The series has been instituted in memory of Nivedita, an illustrious alumna of Gargi College, who passed away due to a rare genetic disease. In honour of her courage and spirit, the series aims to create a sustained platform for learning and reflection on issues related to physical, mental, and emotional health, while also encouraging informed lifestyle choices and health literacy among students.
Objectives
To promote awareness about health, wellness, and preventive care among students and faculty. To provide expert-led discussions on emerging health challenges, medical advancements, and holistic well-being. To sensitise students towards rare and lesser-known diseases and the importance of early diagnosis and support. To foster a compassionate and informed college community that prioritises mental and physical well-being. To honour the legacy of Nivedita by inspiring courage, resilience, and empathy through education and awareness.

The Nivedita Lecture Series will feature talks, panel discussions, and interactive workshops conducted by medical professionals, health experts, researchers, and counsellors. Themes encompass a wide spectrum of health-related topics, including:
