The Nivedita Summer Internship Programme (NSIP) 2025, instituted in memory of Late Ms. Nivedita—an alumna of Gargi College—was conceptualised to promote hands-on learning, research aptitude, and interdisciplinary collaboration among undergraduate students. This first edition brought together 100 interns, 20 mentors, and 10 thematic areas, marking a transformative step in Gargi College’s academic ecosystem.

Objectives

• To nurture scientific curiosity and research skills through guided mentorship.
• To promote interdisciplinary learning across science, commerce, and humanities.
• To enhance students’ professional readiness and analytical competence.
• To cultivate ethical research practices and documentation skills.

Programme Highlights
Internships spanned diverse themes including Nanoscience, Medical Imaging, Biochemistry, Ethical Consumerism, Psychological Well-being, and Sustainable Business Development. Over 22 faculty mentors guided projects, fostering personalised learning and practical exposure. Students from 12 institutions across Delhi-NCR participated, engaging in lab-
based, computational, and analytical research.
