The establishment of an Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) centre , at Gargi College, University of Delhi, in the year 2025 aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’s emphasis on integrating Indigenous Knowledge Systems into higher education. The NEP encourages universities to promote IKS to preserve, research, and disseminate India’s rich cultural, intellectual, and ecological heritage, to have holistic development.
