Sarthak – The Principal’s Internship Scheme (PIS) is a flagship initiative of Gargi College, University of Delhi, envisioned under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). Modelled on the Vice-Chancellor Internship Scheme (VCIS) of the University of Delhi, Sarthak provides a structured platform for students to engage in mentored, on-campus experiential learning across academic, administrative, and outreach domains of the college. Aligned with the spirit of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the scheme strengthens participatory governance and professional readiness by involving students in real-time college operations, including various academic, administrative, and outreach domains of the institution.Through this initiative, students will develop a sense of institutional ownership, encourage accountability, and prepare students to act as collaborative partners in improving the quality of the college. For the first batch of interns, the following six students, two students from each Commerce, Humanities, and Science streams, were selected through a formal interview process conducted on 23 September 2025:
